From initial contact we usually meet with new clients on site. We get to know our clients design aspirations and ideas in order to develop a working brief.
The project is worked up in technical detail to show construction and services etc. Calculations are made and elements checked. Building warrant is then applied for.
After gaining a proper sense of the brief and the site which might include a measured survey, we then generally work up 3 or 4 sketch design schemes, to find the best solution.
Once warrant has been gained further specifications are produced. These are then used in the tender process (pricing) to appoint the most suitable contractor.
We offer a high quality of service and a commitment to providing best design solutions within project cost constraints. Our attention to service is carried throughout the build contract to ensure clients get the highest quality of finish and ultimately the building that fulfills their aspirations.
Outlined here is a general and simplified project process, which illustrates a full service. We can tailor our service to meet individual client needs.
The preferred scheme, sometimes further revised is then worked up formally in CAD and where appropriate, modelled in 3D. This allows select internal and external vews to be generated.
We set up a standard form of contract between client and contractor. We then work with the builder to ensure quality and details meet the specification. This includes regular site meetings.
Once the detailed design is agreed, Planning Permission is applied for through the local council. Listed buildings may also require additional approval at the same time.
Once the works are complete Completion certificate is applied for. After an agreed time from completion we revisit the project for a final check.
